Bill Cosby Rap Album
— The following is not my text —
Legendary comedian, actor, activist and public speaker Bill Cosby is declaring a “State of Emergency” next month with the release of his upcoming rap album.

As SOHH previously reported, Cosby, won’t actually be rapping or singing on the disc, titled Cosby Narratives Vol. 1: State of Emergency, but he co-wrote the CD and is also credited as the executive producer.
“I do not rap on any of these things,” Cosby told the AP. “I wouldn’t know how to fix my mouth to say some of the words.”
The disc reportedly blends the 70 year-old comedian’s stories with various musical genres including hip-hop, jazz, pop and funk with Cosby’s own lyrics, insightful anecdotes and positive messages.
“(The album is) the opposite of what I think is the profanity for no particular reason, the misogyny for no particular reason,” he said. “It really looks at the frustration and the anger that a young man may have.”
Bill “Spaceman” Patterson, a longtime musical colleague of Cosby’s and Patterson’s partner, Ced-Gee, co-founder of old school hip-hop group Ultramagnetic MCs, produced the project, while newbie rappers SupaNova Slom, Jace the Great and Brother Hahz provide the rhymes.
The CD will compliment the book Cosby co-wrote with Dr. Alvin Poussaint last year, Come on People: On the Path From Victims to Victors.
Cosby Narratives Vol. 1: State of Emergency is set for release next month.

Bill Cosby dropping a hip hop album? I love it. However I’m very disapointed in hearing that Bill actually won’t rap on the album himself and is instead enlisting no name emcees. One of my fellow bloggers over on Highbrid Nation reported on Bill’s album and I decided to make a plea in the comments section to Bill to let me ghost write for him and I even wrote some rhymes for Bill. Funny stuff, check it out when you get a chance (Link)
But anyway, I ain’t mad at Bill, he comes across as an angry old man but a lot of what he says is wrong in the inner city is very on point.
